Underworld -- Complete Discography

In the early 90s, the band Underworld only meant one thing to me -- the song "Underneath the Radar". Quite a cool track, but nothing outstanding. Then, someone slipped me a tape and said; "Take a listen to these guys. I know them, this is gonna be their new album". The tape was "Dubnobasswithmyheadman" and the band was a newly updated version of Underworld. That tape did not come out of my Sony Walkman for months.

If you want to hear a track that typifies everything that was wrong with 80s music, take a listen to "I Need A Doctor" from their first album; "Underneath the Radar". It sounds like a bad mix between Icehouse and Mondo Rock.

But then, have a listen to how they changed. "Mmm Skyscraper ... I love you" is a hauntingly dark and melancholic exploration of beats and pieces.

Their most famous song, and the one that changed their fortunes completely, is "Born Slippy". It featured in the soundtrack to Trainspotting, and was probably the song every DJ played at midnight, New Year's Eve in 2000. Lager, lager, lager!

You should probably have every Underworld album, so here they are.
