Flight Facilities -- Triple J mix-up 1972-1982

A few weeks ago, the Flight Facilities lads were in charge of Triple J's mix-up on a Saturday night. Whereas most DJs would just come in and play some records for an hour or so, these guys took their task a little more seriously. They've put together a  set that is from 1972 - 1982. It is the first of 4 sets they did - you can see where this is going, can't you?

So, it's a well blended, Ableton mixed set that draws upon a wide range of classic hits from that decade, as well as a whole lotta sound bites from the news at the time.

It's a pretty good set. You can see that they were trying to go for that whole 2ManyDJs vibe, and in parts it works. In others, it just comes across as Jive Bunny mixtape.

Anyways, have a listen and keep your eye out for their next three sets.

    1. yeah, I'm still a little undecided. That beat just doesn't shift or change. It's a bit too formulaic for mine. Some good parts, though

  3. Gotta give them points for getting Hall and Oates on triple J though ....
