So here's a combination that makes sense. Roisin Murphy and David Morales. Of course! Why didn't we think of this earlier? Like back in the summer of 1998, when both of these artists were actually relevant and hitting the charts, rather than 14 years later when both of them look like they should be hitting the buffet table at an RSL not hitting a dancefloor. Derp!
But anyways, this little house number is still a guaranteed blockbuster rather than a tanking filibuster. Morales still knows how to put a disco-hosue tune together. You've got your bongos, your big drums, a salsa rhythm that morphs pretty quickly into a "clap -> high hat -> kick drum" house beat that is 1998 all over again.
So, back in those days, we used to buy CD Singles, knowing that there'd be a remix somewhere that would be good. A "Full Intention" rework, a "Boris Dlugosch" remix. Something a little harder, or a little softer. Depending on what you wanted. Check out the remixes below. My choice is the DJ Meme remix, just for the way it bounces.
It's good to have these two back. Bring it back! It does sound a little old, but you know, disco is old. So what!
