Tim Svodnik & Danila Stadnyuk: Live @ Kontora, Moscow
Oh Wow! You need to check this out!
This is the set up. One of these guys is the DJ and the other plays the button accordion over the top. I know, crazy, huh? But take a listen, and you'll agree with me that it just seems to work. Tim Svodnik is the DJ, Danila Stadbyuk is on the accordion, They're both from Russia, with love!
Read their bio below
"Danila Stadnyuk is one of the most prominent accordion players not only in Russia, but all over the world. He fronts several Russian orchestras including the Ossipov National Academic Folk Instruments Orchestra of Russia. Danilya plays bayan – an original Russian button accordion invented in the 19th century and named after a mythical Slavic bard.
DJ Tim Svodnik & Danila Stadnyuk perform together since 2007. They can be heard playing funky lounge and slow mo disco in various cafes and restaurants, working the crowd in the night-club or pleasing the musical discernees at Moscow's Usadba Jazz Fest and the likes."
This mix is a live set they would have played at one of the cafe's, bars or niteclubs of Moscow. It's a great mix for listening to in the headphones, but would sound good this weekend, late into Saturday night.

Blow Your Whistle (Soggy Disco Biscuit remix) -- Soul Searchers
But, like always, I couldn't help myself. Had to mess around with that riff. Drop those bongos over the top. Flick around with the lyrics. Echo and delay them. Chuck a couple of breaks in. It's such a B-Boy tune, this! Imagine standing up with ya crew, facing off to this tune!. You'd have no problems. Especially if you could body-pop!
Enjoy! and play it loud to your next dancefloor!
Yothu Yindi – Treaty (Leftside Wobble Edit)
This version doesn't mess around too much with the original feel. Plenty of didge in there, still. That bumping beat, the Aboriginal chant over the top. All good stuff, fella!

Try To Find Me - Sir Mr Doctor To You
I like the sound of this one. It's the B-Side that's got me interested, here. How's that for a name of a track; "sir mr doctor to you".
This song is a couple of years old now, but I only just found it. It comes from the Golf Channel label and is well worth your time listening to it.
A nice intro that slowly builds into some wonky, keyboard and synth action. But it's when we get to the big cheesy vocal, telling us he's "your doctor of love" that the pay -off comes.
You can download it here
Or take a listen on this weird player below.

Soul Searchers - Blow Your Whistle
I'm working on a remix of this song at the moment. Such a great track. I think it first came out in 1972, so I'm a little bit older than it. That's good! I'm sure he's singing "soggy disco biscuit" in there when he hits the chorus. Good song! Thanks to Greg Wilson for putting me onto this.

Frankie Knuckles - "CHICAGO STYLIN' - May 2010
There are soooooo many good sets by the man floating around the internet these days. I've danced to his tunes many times. A lot at the Ministry of Sound in London in the early 90s. Then, a crazy rave party in the Docklands in Melbourne in the late 90s where he DJ'ed a laaaate set of disco classics. Also caught a set of his at the Prince Of Wales with my dance buddy Shauno in the early 2000's.
The guy was born in 1955. He's probably older than your dad. And yet, he's still out there playing tunes to the gay massive! Here's a great set of his from a couple of years ago that I know you'll love.
